Fundraising

The organisation is a registered charity, we have no paid employees and none of our committee or other volunteers are paid for their time.

The donations we receive from car, Minibus passengers and others are used primarily to cover the running costs of our Minibus and other general administrative expenses such as telephone bills, mileage payments etc. We also raise additional  funds by holding coffee mornings in two of the local sheltered housing sites and by providing refreshments at the Hazlemere Fete and at the local gardening show.

Due to our successful fundraising activities over the past few years we were able to replace our old Minibus in July 2018 with an ex demo White Peugeot Boxer which only had 13k miles on the clock. This has also given us a larger seating capacity of 13 passengers plus the driver.

Our fundraising now is for general maintenance and running costs of the Minibus plus putting funds aside for when we will need to replace the Minibus again.

In 2019 we did 234 minibus journeys on shopping trips, visits to clubs and other social outings, travelling some 3770 miles.

So please donate what you can and help us to continue to expand this valuable service to the elderly and disabled in our community.

Recognising Partners

Hazlemere & Widmer End Good Neighbours are pleased to acknowledge the support it gets from other organisations. We are particularly grateful for the assistance of Mark Wingrove in developing this website and the continuing support of JNP estate Agents for maintaining our phone line. The Hazlemere Co-op chose Good Neighbours as one of its fundraising partners in 2017, 2018 and into 2019 and they continue to provide us with valuable support whenever possible.

.

Buckinghamshire Lottery

I am pleased to say we have been accepted as one of the ‘good causes’ under the Buckinghamshire online community lottery. This was launched in June 2017, with a weekly jackpot of £25,000, plus other prizes.

We now have our own lotto page and if you buy tickets from our page, we get 50 pence in the pound, so please support us whenever you can. Just go to www.buckinghamshirelottery.co.uk to visit our page. All the ticket money goes to prize money, good causes and admin.  You can also click on the logo on this page which will take you to our account page.
