Hazlemere and Widmer End Good Neighbours Community Transport Scheme

Hazlemere and Widmer End Good Neighbours is a registered charity (Number 1072527), dedicated to providing affordable, safe and accessible transport services for elderly people in the local area, who find public transport difficult due to age or disability.

Our volunteer drivers use their own vehicles for transport.  Details of the charity’s work, including information about how to make donations can be found under the headings “About Us” and “Fundraising”.

As part of our service Good Neighbours also use our own minibus to provide transport under Section 19 of the community minibus permit scheme. We take elderly and disabled residents from their home or local sheltered housing on regular shopping trips to local supermarkets, and run journeys to day centres, theatres and other social outings.

We provide our services to both individuals and community based organisations located in the areas of Hazlemere, Widmer End and Holmer Green.

“Good Neighbours offer a fantastic transport service for my residents. It means they can travel safely whilst maintaining their independence with an excellent personal driver service. As an Estate Manager the service offers me great confidence in organising trips out for my residents. The service offered is friendly, punctual and totally reliable. Just couldn’t manage without them! “  Ruth Murden Estate Manager Hanover Court.
“I am partially sighted and have some difficulty walking any distance, so the minibus shopping trip to Park Parade is my only trip out during the week and my lifeline. The drivers are all so friendly and helpful and bring my shopping door to door. The trip also gives me a chance to socialise with others in a similar situation to myself, and I would be lost without it. “   Olivia Hazlemere.
